I am one of those artists you refer to. We artists do not simply "whip something up". We put a lot of thought and energy into creating a piece of art. A reproduction of art made in China can be whipped up. Every year, myself and a number of other artists in this community donate a piece of art to a good cause in La Manzanilla. The proceeds of these endeavours go to educational programs, scholarships for students, and other programs that promote healthy living. Most artists in town are currently involved in Art Walk, to be held on January 25 th. The proceeds of this event all go to funding valuable fine arts programs for children in La Manzanilla. Shane, can you give me one good reason why I should donate my work to the purchase of beer? I'm assuming by your comments that you will soon be putting forth your name to head a committee to sponsor a "gringo" day at this year's rodeo.
