This morning, we were talking to Chef Linda Jimenez, through the bars on the kitchen window at Cafe Risa. I said: it looks like you're in prison, and she said, "but I'm happy!" Linda is one of the La Manz originals: born here 42 years ago, lived all her life here. Her family all lives here too: she is one of 10 children. Her great sadness: her sister died a couple of years ago. She has four children, two boys and two girls... The youngest is Israel (the welder) who is 21. Linda is a lovely lady who wants everyone to know she is single and looking for a nice man.  |
