You might find this link below helpful. I think you would probably want to catch the 7:00 Primera first class, which wouldn't get to the downtown pickup until about 8:00 or maybe a bit before. Another good reason to stay in the romantic zone overnight - it means a shorter bus ride from there to Melaque. Of course, I'm sure you know that there's local buses from Melaque to LM (or taxi not too expensive either really).
