Yes! This afternoon I was in the water watching the Pelicans fly and dive on either side of me, and suddenly realized my arm was all pins and needles. Of course I was moving around in the water enjoying some swimming strokes while doing this. The only thing I could think of was that I had brushed the tentacles of a Jellyfish.
We immediately left, I picked some of the herb that was used on me in 2011 by a local woman to draw out the poison of a Stingray I had stepped on (couldn't believe this was happening to me again). I boiled the herb and applied the tea with the hottest water.
Apparently a diluted vinegar applied right away neutralizes the venom from the punctures.
Although Jellyfish I was told don't usually make an appearance here until at least April or May, I don't know what else it could be. The rash from the stings compares to what I saw on the Internet and is still bothersome.
Anyone else have any info they can share? :~)
