Yesterday while swimming a mile with my goggles I experienced about 5 mild stings along the way and saw a couple of jellyfish - clear about 3 " across with a reddish brown centre and 6 " tentacles. We had a whole swarm of them for 1 day about 2 weeks ago. I had to get out of the water. By afternoon they had drifted north with the current to Boca.
Fortunately my skin doesn't react other than feeling the sting for about 20 minutes.
