Having a bit of fun with this topic. Carbon Footprint Calculator http://www.carbonfootprint.com/calculator.aspx One person flying from La to Manzanillo round trip = 0.38 metric tons (.8 more than the anual average for Kenya). One person flying from Vancouver to LA to Manzanillo round trip = 0.68 metric tons Driving a 1999 NISSAN PATHFINDER 4WD 3.3 liter, Auto from La to Puerto Vallarta = 1220 miles = 0.78 metric tons My Carbon Footprint: House 0.54 Flights 0.00 Car 0.20 Motorbike 0.00 Bus & Rail 0.00 Secondary 5.97 Total = 6.71 metric tons of CO2e I am almost 3 tons over the global average and I don't travel, cook, heat, cool or have hot water! The most CO2 intensive thing I consume is bottles of Tequila (the bottles of which I am saving). Maybe I should get a barrel of Tequila delivered as a way to offset my CO2
