Great photos, David. Your reporting on the event might have said that the teaching of art to the scholarship students was started by a group of Art Walk artists, headed by Ron Stock and Dave Sullins. Since then Jane Sterritt and Annie Olson have taught classes, soon to be follwed by lessons by Rennie Holley and Pam Field. The program receives funding from Art Walk, along with generous donations of time and materials from Efren. As Efren points out, the goal of these classes is to encourage the pursuit of artistiic endeavours as a viable interest among local youth.
