An interesting article appeared online about the La Manzanilla crocodile project. It features the Ejiditario Pepe Martinez, who is known here as 'the Crocodile Hunter'.

'Chido', the young fellow that takes the admission money is also featured. It is 15 pesos to enter, and the article says that 40,000 people visited the La Manz cocodrilario last year.

The cocodrilario was started with money from a University and the Jalisco government, to provide employment after the Oct 9, 1995 tsunami that hit La Manzanilla.

The article also states that the La Manz Laguna contains more than 400 crocodiles, the most in one place of anywhere in Mexico.

David, thank you for a most interesting article. I printed a copy for Chido, needless to say he is quite proud of how well the Cocodrilario is doing these days.
