La bib / The Library
Posted by sue.oriley on January 14, 2015, 4:53 pm
Interested in knowing more about the public library being developed by RLP (www.ruralliteracyproject.com / Sue Oriley) and La Catalina Educational Foundation (LCEF) ? Stop by tomorrow and see how things are progressing. I'll be on LCEF site located behind the kinda I'll be in the classroom from 11:00 until 1. We will be looking for volunteers in the near future to run story time and reading hours for children. Also, does anyone have some extra duct tape they could donate to the cause? Gracias Directions: From the jardin, walk on road between jardin and church, go to the corner just before kinda, which is just before the arroyo, take that left, look for 3 brightly colored buildings on the right and you'll find us!

The reading sessions would most likely be in Spanish, unless a group of English speakers formed / or listeners were trying to learn English. Also there are bilingual books, so those working on their Spanish, but not completely comfortable could use these books could be used. And/or folks can pair up so both languages are represented ........
