Bullnose Ray

I've been coming to La Manz most winters for 10 years and never saw these cool creatures before that we spotted swimming in schools just offshore, so I took this photo yesterday on the beach. The fishermen are getting them in their nets and have to push them back into the water. I looked for an image to identify it and it looks a lot like a bullnose ray, a relative of the eagle ray and supposedly harmless. But it's not supposed to be here off the Pacific coast of Mexico! Climate change?

Thanks for the photo Donna. We haven't seen them in Boca--yet.
