My cousin Joyce sent me this recent photo she took of the main Beach in Barra. An unbelievable amount of sand is piled up there.. No views now from the beach restaurants... A major beach reconstruction for sure!

will all the sand be pushed into the sea? how has this impacted on the shore break which used to make swimming difficult a lot of the time ? I used to holiday in Barra and will return if the beach comes back ….

Thank you! So glad to see that! Barra used to be my winter home for many years. But then conditions changed, the beach disappeared, and it's been such a pinch for struggling merchant friends.
