This film looks very interesting and I wish you a really pleasant evening. I hope you don't mind my contacting you with a question? I am a film maker who has been a winter visitor to La Manzanilla for the last four consecutive winters. This last winter I shot a new art project at the derelict hotel on the beach. I am editing the video tape at the moment. Mine is the sort of work that shows in galleries and cinematheques. My work is exhibited internationally but with a project like this one, which hopefully has some local interest. It doesn't tell a story, it's not a documentary and no one in the community is mentioned so It shouldn't cause offence(!) So what is it ! Maybe just think of it as a moving image painting.( Ref: Experimental film and video, gallery installations and New Media art forms.) If there is any interest I would very much like to screen it in the community next winter when I come down. I think it is past time I made a contribution to the local arts community and I am enthusiastic about showing this new project by way of an introduction. Would you, or anyone else be at all interested in hosting a little Mexican premier next winter? There has been some discussion about the project on the message board under "ruins and graffiti" a few days ago and there is plenty of more general info online if you google my name Chris Welsby. I look forward to hearing from you and any one else who may be interested. Please feel free to copy this to any interested party. Many thanks in advance. Chris
