yep, he is painting away, I take beautiful pictures or scenes and labor over reproducing them on canvas, Efren takes a ordinary scene and shows us the beauty of everyday life. Here is a preview of the work his doing around town

While Efren has been there painting, I've been in his Art Centre in Ajijic,
showing my artwork, painting, and updating my website, etc. Such a
peaceful place to work and meet new people - and make sales - Yay! It's a
slow market, so it helps to be here to greet people and have conversations.

Esperanza Gama, from Chicago, has just arrived to set up her show here,
so I will be taking mine down now. It's been a great experience, and
I'll miss the space here...but it will be so good to get back to the beach!
Nos vemos pronto.

This is a part of the main gallery, which easily holds 35 of my paintings.

Here's Efren's wife, Reina, in the art supplies part of the centre.
If we want supplies in La Manzanilla, and call her, she will get Efren
to bring them to La Manz.

Reina also does beautiful framing.

Rigoberto Navarro, a young, very accomplished sculptor, works in the taller, constructing
the stretched canvases that Efren provides
in all his classes,
and sells to the public.

I was fortunate to be able to paint when the traffic was slow -
there was a naturally lit gallery/workspace
attached to the main gallery.

This is Paul, a model for Patricia, who rents studio space upstairs in the centre.
