Looks like more of the same big waves today, then tapering down to more normal size during the week. Trop Wx Discussion: "...LONG PERIOD SOUTHERLY SWELL CONTINUES TO DOMINATE MUCH OF THE
FORECAST WATERS...AND ARE REACHING THE CENTRAL AMERICAN AND MEXICAN COASTLINES THROUGH BAJA CALIFORNIA. THESE SWELLS ARE LIKELY GENERATING VERY LARGE AND POWERFUL WAVES...AND DANGEROUS CONDITIONS WITHIN THE SURF ZONE TODAY...BUT WILL GRADUALLY FADE DURING THE NEXT 24-36 HRS."
Just the latest weather-related item to come along and complicate a big holiday weekend. At least the threat of rain is staying pretty far away. I hope these waves don't cause any danger to the vacationers. Yesterday afternoon it looked like nearly everyone was staying this side of the wave break. Did the life guards caution people?
