We were wondering which way might be either faster or less aggravating to get to Tepic.
We usually go via PV, and it usually takes 7 hours, more or less.
We decided to go the same way leaving on Monday, and it took 8 hours this time.
The road to PV was probably better than usual. 3 hours. Stopped in Mismaloya for a nice lunch.
One hour to get through PV.
Nueva Vallatra area was moving pretty well.
The coast road from Bucerias to Guayabitos was very busy and slow, with limited passing opportunities.
The road going up the hill to Compostela was super slow, with many overheated cars on the side of the road. There was a large contingent of federales at the top, presumably the cause of the problem.
We'd pay the extra tolls to go via Guad, but not if it takes 4 hours longer.
