We we there, it was a long meeting, and I can post a photo- but I don't know if I'm the best one to summarize it.
In this photo, Morgan is explaining why sewer system is not working 100%, how old it is (early 90's), and what needs fixing.
The primary problems seem to be leaking end points on the sewer pipes allowing groundwater entry, and lack of pumping capacity to handle the extra water during storms.
Ari and Davison Collins then spoke about the TierraAlegre plan to bring in a team from EWB to inspect and come up with ideas for improvements to the sewer system.
From what I understand, they will seek money from all levels of government to fix the problem of existing 7lagoon and beach waste contamination, with the goal of achieving Blue Flag Clean Beach status.
From what I heard, the sewer system does work, it just needs upgrading; all is fixable; and a committee has been organized to shepherd all this to completion.
I'm sure you will hear more detail from Davison and Ari.
