Marcia and I drove to PV yesterday morning arriving around 11am. No sign of any trouble except one fire engine trying to get through traffic. We saw one fire in the distance. All else was normal.
We stopped at Costco and started headed home around 2:30.
All the gas stations were closed, a little disconcerting since I needed gas to get home. I thought maybe there was a strike due to Labor Day. We encountered one in Oaxaca a few years ago.
When we got to El Tuito the station was open and we were told 8 different Pemex's had fires in PV so all were shut down. We continued south with no traffic, no police , very quiet.
Just past Tomatlan before the road to Villa Purification a big dump truck with a burned out cab was being towed into a yonke.
We had no idea of what was going on .
Just proves that "ignorance is bliss".
