That link is really just the tip of the iceberg. I have a folder on my favorites
titled illusions, it has 174 links to all kinds of stuff that make you go hmmmmm?
My personal favorites are not the eye tricks but the ones you can change
with your mind.
Which way is the train going?
Can you change the direction of the spin?
and the ones to do with paying attention.

It is actually a bit unsettling especially in combination with all the other
stuff in our world that tuns out to be hard to pin down to one way of being.
The bible says "seek and ye shall find", a popular saying is "you find what
you look for". One could also say "what you don't look for you don't find".
It would be one thing if selective perception was the result of a conscious
decision, but it goes much deeper than that into the realm of cognitive dissonance
and a slew of biases that are unconscious and are basically shaped from our
past personal experiences.
