Yes, of course Lynne. But in case the earthquake causing the tsunami damages your building, you want to know where you will run to (your plan). Remember an 8.1 quake is huge. You live this side of the arroyo and are vulnerable to the tsuname wave. If you are out and about, again where will you run to if you happen to be in a low lying area and the second floor is not available.
I plan to be in the sports field watching the Peques play soccer this Saturday. Supposedly we will be high enough there (10 - 12 meters above sea level) to be out of tsunami harm and a good place to be unless the earth were to open up. One never knows and we'll do the best we can.
