I want a life sized Catrina made out of paper mache just like the one below. Any ideas where I can get one made locally? | ------------------------Re: Looking for a lady

Interesting the way you get that image to go over any background, I am impressed. | ------------------------Re: Looking for a lady

Jack, if you can't find someone right here, you might ask Gary Pittman who owns Roosters in Melaque--now, the one he had/has (she's beginning to deteriorate, like most of us) is certainly greater than life-sized, but stunning. | ------------------------Re: Looking for a lady

There are shops in Tonalà that will probably make one to your specs - bring your photo along. Try the ones right on the corner of Tonaltecas near the freeway - the shops that have all the catrinas out front. | ------------------------Re: Looking for a lady

There is an artist from La Huerta who comes often to La Manzanilla to give art classes to local children at Mabel's store, right next to the bookstore. He expecializes in paper mâché sculptures. I can't recall his name but the piece I bought from him says"camizales." Mabel would know more info. I am sure he could even repair the "Catrina" from Roosters if needed. Buena Suerte finding your lady! | ------------------------
