Great, the plant repels mosquitos and pushes them toward you. I would think one would want plants that attract mosquitos making you a less desireable target...or am I missing something here? Mosquito repelent doesn't repel mosquitoes it hides you | ------------------------Re: what do you think - too good to be true?

I don't understand your link - it takes me to a google page of options- lots of articles to read. I do get your point though. Maybe if we planted a barrier of mosquito plants all around, they wouldn't want to cross the barrier - assuming they were born outside of that barrier...am I on the right track? | ------------------------Re: what do you think - too good to be true?

Up here in Colorado they sell a citronela geranium plant. It works great. I put two on each patio and the smell keeps most insects away. I live in a heavily treed and bush area. These plants knocked down the insect problem by 95%. I can't remember the last mosquito I saw. But it greatly reduces yellow jackets and others. When I see one, I'll photograph the information label and post here if I can. | ------------------------Re: what do you think - too good to be true?

Thanks, Ed, I remember having it as a houseplant years ago - lacy cut leaves, right? And not much of a flower even though it's a geranium. Sounds like a good idea to have some in pots and maybe bring them in the bedroom for the night during mosquito season. | ------------------------
