HUGE surf in Oaxaca

(Slightly off-topic for the La Manz board.) The same swell that was affecting La Manz this weekend was generating epic surf down in Oaxaca state (and probably other parts of the Pacific coast of Mexico.) In addition to the Hawaii-sized waves, there were waves coming in through the town streets carrying all kinds of debris including good sized rocks. If you have a Tomzap login, check out the thread on the Puerto Escondido Tomzap board. But note that this thread started over 2 years ago, so you have to scroll way down to see the latest news and spectacular photos: http://69.73.170.179/ph5/read.php?17,76331 | ------------------------Re: HUGE surf in Oaxaca

Thought I would take Kathy out to Tenacatita yesterday to bodysurf. Wrong. I haven't seen such swells nor waves except on the northern California coast. And the riptides were simply roiling. Back in LM, the bodysurfing was doable, if you don't mind eating a little sand. | ------------------------Re: HUGE surf still going in Pacific countries
