OMG, I just watched that last month, The way Louise Fletcher treated Billy after he screwed the friendly lady was so mean! When it came out in 1975 I saw it 7 times with 7 different friends. I was like "you so have to see this!" Safe to say I totally related to it on some level. Mc Murphy rules! Corral Kickers unite! I was thinking if I met Jack I would ask if it was conceivable to beat the performances and magic that happened in that movie i.e. as an actor I would have said #### it, I'll never top that and just retired. Not to mention that Ken Kessy (wrote the novel) is responsible for these words - The need for mystery is greater than the need for an answer. | ------------------------Re: Army General Named to Head Offensive against Nueva Generación

I drove to La Huerta today to pay car registration, business license etc. I was counting on the Banamex to get cash but not only was it closed (I guess there was not enough business to keep it open) but the cash machine didn't have cash. So I drove the 20 minutes North to Casimiro Castillo (what a thriving city that is) to use the Banamex there. On the way I ran into one of the biggest army check points I have ever encountered. There must have been 50+ soldiers there including armored personnel carriers with 50 cal machine guns ready! They asked me to get out of my car and did a light inspection before allowing me to go my way. I couldn't help but wonder why they did not run my license plate or ask for ID. I have encountered more inquisition at a sobriety check in the US than that. On the way back I didn't have to get out of the car. South of La Huerta I ran into another bunch of big time army guys (about 40) but this time they were trying to get a broken down personnel carrier repaired so it could continue with the convoy. It will be interesting to see how this turns out but suffice it to say that Nuevo Generation has captured the attention of the world and is most likely the highest priority on the to do list of the government at the highest level. | ------------------------Re: Army General Named to Head Offensive against Nueva Generación

Daniel...you went right into the heart of "Ground Zero", so not surprising there was such a large military presence. The helicopter went down between Casimiro Castillo and Villa Purification. The photo shows the heart of the cartel activity in the brown circle.

I found the image you posted on Borderland Beat,is that your source? I didn't see where it said the brown circle is the heart of the Cartel activity (I would say Guadalajara had the most) it is where they tried to capture El Mencho and the helicopter went down. It was a beautiful drive, I never sensed danger, everyone was calm and acting normal. Just lots of army. | ------------------------Re: Army General Named to Head Offensive against Nueva Generación

The helicopter came down in the tiny rancho called Villa Vieja, which is 15 km southwest of Villa Purissima. There are dozens of references to this in the Mexican press. Here are a few... Ayer, el área era resguardada por unos 300 militares." http://movil.informador.com.mx/jalisco/2015/589888/6/el-inicio-de-un-dia-violento.htm Read this very vivid woman's first hand report of watching the helicopter go down. It's the 4th paragraph from the bottom. http://m.milenio.com/policia/caida-Cougar-Jalisco-helicoptero-explosion-evidencias-Ejercito-aeronave-lanzacohetes_0_512948725.html | ------------------------Re: Army General Named to Head Offensive against Nueva Generación

Here's another article about the military you saw yesterday...
