Not to worry, Daniel...no one is Bret at weather reporting. | ------------------------Re: Hurricane Blanca

The waves are as big as any I have ever seen! Around 8:30 a big one took out the right side of the beach bar (and the camera of the people who were sitting there) and broke through my primary defenses (not all the way to the office though). I have repaired the first line of defense and put the secondary in place, so not much more to do but hope. It is not the big waves that are the real problem it is the rouge waves, about every couple hours there is a wave that comes up much further than even the big ones. High tide is in an hour then a nice low tide starts. We are going to need it as the hurricane is not even parallel with our bay yet. There is a roaring noise coming from the South end of the beach (in front of the Jardin) that I have either never heard before or just never noticed, it is a bit unnerving. | ------------------------Re: Hurricane Blanca

Dear Daniel, I was watching the cam when that big wave came in and took out the right side of the beach bar and then you picking up the left side and taking it to a safer location. I was wondering what happened to the black bbq/smoker on the left side of the shot. I left and when I came back the cam was off..??? Hope all is well. Up 2 am, all is well, no big problems. Surfing the net when all of a sudden BAM a 3 foot wave takes out the first line defenses as if they were made of paper (to be honest they weren't much anyway) and slams into the office doors at about one+ foot in height, Hurricane Jova a couple of years ago wasn't even that big! I just checked out front, it made it all the way to the Hotel across the street. | ------------------------Re:Hurricane Blanca

The ocean this morning looks like there is no hurricane out there (at least so far). There were no other big waves just that one big one to give me something to do today . It is raining just a bit. | ------------------------Re:Hurricane Blanca

Last night around 10:00 I had been watching the waves. Then I decided to walk down towards the Lagoon. All of the sudden (the street where the man sells the chickens) a big wave came in all the way in and crossed in to the other side of the street. | ------------------------
