The asking price on the La Manzanilla beach for a "pearl" necklace is 200 pesos and they will accept 150 if you are a gringo tourist. The asking price for a Mexican national is 100 pesos and they will come down to 70 pesos. With no set prices I feel it is okay to bargain away. | ------------------------Re: Bargaining with vendors

More from Varun Pruthi the creator of the video https://www.facebook.com/ActorVarun Loved this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pECmw7KIWn0 Trending News Portal (the site you linked to) may be good for finding information but the site is basically click bait and also runs dangerous scripts. Once you find information give credit to where you found the info but also go to the source and link to that when you want to share. A couple years ago as I was returning to the office the owner of one of the largest homes in La Manzanilla was yelling at the watermelon vendor "I don't have any more money!" I approached, asked how much they were short? The watermelon guy said 15 pesos. I gave it to him from my pocket. Moments later the person who was buying came to my office and gave me the $15 pesos. They had the money all along they were just trying to get a deal. At the time I judged the buyer as being a cheap jerk but perhaps they were very poor at some point in their life and are not able to get out of crisis mode no matter how much money they have. Truth is I don't have enough information to judge them. Perhaps your link will help them. This is pretty much the same thing just on a mass scale http://www.telesurtv.net/english/news/Mexican-Farmworkers-Demand-Attention-after-Police-Violence-20150511-0004.html | ------------------------
