Rain report for 2014 (a bit overdue...)

I've finally finished a few very tardy reports, before I retire from "official" weather reporting. Here is the first one. It's a quick rainfall report for last year (the report for 2015 year-to-date is coming in another post.) I was out of town in November, AND my spiffy digital rain gauge with 7-week memory decided to do a CTL-ALT-DEL on itself while I was gone, so I never got to record those big rainfalls that month. I faked in some educated guesswork-based rain readings based on some of your msg board posts. So you can add plus-or-minus a few inches of uncertainty to November's rainfall numbers. Records: 2014 was the wettest year since our records began in 2004: 54.1", topping 2011's 52.21" (which included Hurricane Jova!) September 2014 was BY FAR the wettest September: 22.16", beating 2010's 15.4". November 2014 was the wettest November: 9.0" vs 8.56" in 2013 (See caveats above about November's numbers.) Tables and graphs (worth a thousand words): Hopefully these make sense. There is quite an up-trend on rainfall year-by-year. The temperature numbers show a similar trend (but I won't have time to report on those, sorry!)

Thanks ,Brett. Your info has been appreciated. Looking at the rainfall graphs, it seems that things are kind of normal. In these days of global weirdness, climate wise, it is comforting to see normal. | ------------------------
