Google street view

I am pretty sure the Google street view came into La Manzanilla September last year (no we don't have street view of La Manz yet). Using the link below progress North, right as you get to the place the turn off for La Manz crosses the highway it all changes. Like he stopped here then continued. I wonder if there is the data for La Manz somewhere in their archives? https://www.google.com.mx/maps/@19.2925388,-104.7794045,3a,75y,331.96h,76.84t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sJ4PX6pYfy8ddxa9S8JIntg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 Suddenly when you get to here the people on the bench to the right dissappear https://www.google.com.mx/maps/@19.2935106,-104.7798063,3a,75y,334.5h,68.85t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sd0Bpn_EsqJZptCsYMbLpew!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 and the truck with the blue tarp is no longer pulling out onto the highway, the camera is on the wrong side of the street and there is that weird thing in the road. https://www.google.com.mx/maps/@19.2925388,-104.7794045,3a,75y,331.96h,76.84t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sJ4PX6pYfy8ddxa9S8JIntg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 From the link above click in the street where it says Mexico 200, suddenly you are on the other side of the street heading North and it all changes. | ------------------------Re: Google street view

I think what happened is they spliced a Street view heading South with a street view heading North, right at that spot? | ------------------------Re: Google street view

Seems funny that they don't go into La Manzanilla, but do go all the way into Boca. | ------------------------Re: Google street view

Yes, that is interesting. This is the first time I have played around with street view so I don't know much about it and don't have the time right now to research it. But I would imagine that there are prime hours for doing street view like sun over head (no blinding sunrise or sunset) and good weather. Also for them to go through La Manz at a time when they don't have to blur out to many faces (edit work). Although September seems to be an ideal month for very few people. If you look at the top left corner you can see a place to choose the street view from 2008, kinda neat you can actually see the growth of places. That means they have been to or by La Manzanilla at least 3 times, I bet La Manz has been street viewed but just not processed. I wonder if there is a way to find out? I didn't follow it back but I would guess that one street view series was from South of Manzanillo to La Manz and the other from PV to La Manz, around 3 hours or so driving per edit. | ------------------------Re: Google street view

Hey Daniel. Kind of surprised that you of all peeps had not been on or used Google Street View before. A great tool - I use it all the time both locally and also if I just want to randomly check out foreign places, especially in Mexico. For example, if you want to see something very cool, try street view at Machu Picchu (which I did last year when my sons were planning their trip to Peru). You'll find these "photospheres" allowing you to "drop" into that spot and spin 360 for unbelievable views of the site. Streets of nearby Cusco also fun to "street-view" through for fun. I can somehow see you spending many hours with street view, D. How about a "trip" to Comala and up one of the roads to the Colima volcano sometime? Enjoy... As for La Manz., I would think that if Google surveyed the town, it would be available online. I think it's just not been included for whatever reason. Budget perhaps? The blurring of faces I'm pretty sure is probably easily done at little cost with a couple clicks of a mouse on face-finding software. "Find face, blur same..." But that's just a guess on my part.

As soon as you click on and grab the little streetview man on the upper right, all the streets that have been recorded will turn blue. | ------------------------
