Hallowe'en & Day of the Dead

First of all, I would like to express relief, gratitude and admiration to all of you folks that had and still have to deal with Hurricane Patricia. God bless all you wonderful people for pulling together to rebuild our pueblo. Sitting up here in Canada has been a worrisome, frustrating situation. I want to be home in La Manz were I might be useful. I will be arriving on Nov. 15th, with 2 large suitcases of clothing, and other personal items collected up here. I am wondering if the kids in town went trick or treating on Saturday night and also if the residents are celebrating the Day of the Dead. If anyone has any photos could they please post them?? Thanks, oh and yes, there will be baseball this year!

Hola, Patti. No Halloween this year. And a shorter version of Day of the Dead with hot chocolate and Day of the Dead 'sweet' bread served last night in the jardin.. No alters in the jardin this year but people will visit their loved ones graves with flowers, food and wraiths this afternoon. Cruz | ------------------------Re: Hallowe'en & Day of the Dead

I guess the town is truly thankful that there's no new graves of loved ones to honour that way this year because of Patricia... | ------------------------Re: Hallowe'en & Day of the Dead

LOL! Jo Anna, good catch on the misspelling or auto-spell of wreaths in Cruz' post. You might say DOTD was a BYOW gathering - bring your own wraith! Still a completely appropriate misspell for the occasion... | ------------------------Re: Hallowe'en & Day of the Dead

Hey there, Jo Anna. Nice to hear you chime in "here" and glad you love my "expansion". Frankly, I didn't know it was showing! (sound of a rimshot is heard) I'm sure we'll see you down there when Maureen and I arrive in Feb. We'll be able to spot you easily - the one wearing the wraith (a second rimshot rings out). | ------------------------Re: Hallowe'en & Day of the Dead
