Bill! Oh Bill! You crazy ol' fart! You liked to pot and do your art. We made your acquaintance in a Mexican town... wherever you were there was never a frown. A sad day has come for those you loved, but we know you're smiling on us from above. from Bonnie & Charley, Condolences to Barbara and the family. We will miss you Bill.

In early February, 1974, Danny and I dropped Bill off at the Calgary Airport. Bill had a small suitcase and inside were a pair of cutoffs and a sheet. He was heading for Puerto Vallarta. We were driving in our truck and camper from Calgary to Mexico and to Tenacatita where we would join a group of 13 friends from Calgary. Our plan was to try to meet up with Bill in PV and to take him with us to Tenacatita. We never saw Bill that winter. True to his free and adventurous spirit that we all love and envy, he had instead headed north to Rincon de Guayabitos. And so began Bill’s 40-year love affair with Mexico and its people. I am fortunate and honored to have Bill as a best friend for the past 50 years. I will always love him, will reflect often and with a smile upon his unique character and will miss him forever. R.I.P., amigo.

George and I send condolences to Barbara and the whole family. So much of Bill's spirited response to life was evident in his art, which lives on and often makes us laugh!
