2:00 pm Sunday - it's body-to-body on the beach in La Manzanilla... I counted 27 buses parked on the way into town. It's like Semana Santa...

Just an observation: yesterday, Sunday, was one of the busiest days we have seen on the beach in La Manz. One store owner told me that some of her customers said they saw it on TV during the hurricane coverage. Could it be that La Manzaniila is now a little famous because of the big storm? | ------------------------Re: Packed beach

Holy crap on a Christmas cracker, I haven't seen this many people in town for New Year´s in years. And I only made it as far as the lavandaria. How´s the rest of the town faring? It's a zoo over here with pedestrians in the streets and one narrow traffic lane between a bazillion buses lining Lazaro Cardenas. Janiero Raquenna says more will be arriving tomorrow and Wednesday. Hijole, it's like Semana Santa! Great for our merchants, though. | ------------------------Re: Packed beach

Busses were also stacked up on calle Concha Molida up to the old community garden. It would be nice if they brought some manners and respect with them along with the few pesos they spend. Don't mind the paper trash so much, but the empty beer bottles and full diapers thrown in my yard are a bit much. Time to turn the dog loose, she'll knock over the beers and drink them while scaring the s--t out of the little ones before mom throws it in my flowers! Feliz Navidad neighbors, grouchy Rojo here. | ------------------------Re: Packed beach

Oh, that's not so pleasant, Red. Would you like to borrow my very large blue tambo and put it outside your house for the holiday. If you paint BASURA on the side, and please just drill a hole at the rim and chain and lock it to something, the people will have somewhere to throw their garbage. They might be hesitant about opening those nice looking covered garbage containers that you have out there. I do have the chain, a lock and a drill also, if you (or anyone else), would like to borrow them. 351 7493 or 315 110 7493. | ------------------------Re: Packed beach
