Hi Susanna,
Just seeing your post. I was out of town all weekend. Thank you so much for your generous comments, suggestion and intention. The work that Felipe and I were involved with in La Manzanilla was just for the first 3 weeks following the hurricane. Over 20 roofs were replaced, 21 beds distributed and lots of land and trees cleaned up for selected elderly, handicapped and single moms. The work teams were sponsored by Operation Blessing International and materials were funded by OBI and 2 generous local donors, who donated to OBI for the work being done specifically in our village. There were 3 different work teams- two brought in by Operation Blessing out of DF (Operacion Bendicion) and the third team that was organised and managed by my husband, Felipe and consisted of all local guys. After La Manz, the Operation Blessing teams and equipment moved further north up the coast where there was still greater devastation in several ranch communities which lost everything. So, again thanks so much for thinking of us and wanting to be of help. I trust there were be many more opportunities. Judy H
