Thanks for your comments Duane, all opinions matter. However, I must take exception with your characterizations of the participants.
( By the way, if you were by my home you failed to take the time to engage anyone in conversation so that you might develop a different view )
My wife and most of the other artists whom I know are locals, own their Mexican home, participate year round in the community, sponsor local youths in various pursuits, have an FM3 or permanente visa, survive hurricanes, pay taxes, and finally; tolerate tourists who think their opinion really matters?
So Duane, thanks for stopping by, but don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out. None of the folks who spend their time and effort to participate in Art Walk are worried about the income. The Idea is to participate and foster the artistic spirit in our community. Repeat, "Our Community"
So remember Duane, we are Mexicans, even if we have a background or citizenship in Canada or the US, we are still locals. Come visit again when your mind is more open to the spirit of the event, or don't, no great loss for La Manz. Rojo
