Yola (short for Yolanda) has a small tienda that sells beer, liquor, and refrescos on the corner near the cocodrilario. She is the sister of 'Chiyo' (Rocio) that has the Costa Linda grocery store near the jardin.
Yola and her family originally moved to La Manz from El Rebalsito when she was 3 years old. It's a big family, I believe she is one of eight children.
She married Raymundo Cervantes, a prominent Ejiditario, who is from one of the founding families of this town. In fact, she told me that Raymundo's abuela was killed during the days of fighting when the Hacienda system was breaking down, and certain rich factions were trying to take this town and its beach.
Yola's parents always had a business in La Manz, and still run their liquor store on the corner across from the Iglesia. Yola used to be a vendor on the beach, especially during Semana Santa.
She opened her tienda in 2000, and created a lovely seating area out back where you can sit down to enjoy a drink and a snack under the trees.
