Ralf and I are really looking forward to showing our latest film this Sunday 2/21 at Casa Luz at 7:30pm.
People have been asking what the film is about and where is the Great Bear Sea?
The Great Bear Sea is the coastal waters that surround the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia - it extends from the Alaska border near Prince Rupert south to Campbell River on Vancouver Island and out west to Haida Gwaii. It's a stunningly beautiful place.
The film is a powerful story of the indigenous people of coastal BC and focuses on the 18 First Nations who leading a partnership with the BC province and all who live in the region to create a more sustainable future - knowing that culture and well-being are tied to a healthy environment.
I look forward to viewing the film with you on Sunday!
