There are 22 animals waiting to be spayed and neutered. Beto Vigil, needs to be funded so that he so he can continue the work. The accountant is leaving in 2 weeks and it is really important this is wrapped up. I hope that none of the receipts and records of the treasurer (Lauren) who did such a good job before the money and records were taken from her, gets lost in this chaos. I have spent 26,500 pesos for spaying 53 animals. 1000 pesos were spent on gas and another 540 pesos for flea & tick treatments of dogs severely infested. 415 pesos was spent on antibiotics for dogs that had complications and another 200p. on worming medicine. I spent 1030p on 2 bags of dogfood: one for Pino of Figaro's restaurant in support of the fabulous care he takes of many beach dogs and in appreciation of offering the great location for our fundraiser on Feb. 1. The second bag of dogfood, I divided up among folks struggling to look after many dogs that were rescued. It has been a wonderful experience interacting with the Mexican people and seeing how much they love their dogs. If I had more time I could have finished the other 22. I left 4 of my crates with Maestro Miguel and Chuy who have brought several animals to me. They will continue the work, but it is really important that Beto has the funds to continue spaying and neutering. David Strand and Valerie have driven a couple of day as well. Sally and Lauren helped with injections of antibiotics. Jeanne, you need to give the 11,500 to Beto, please! That is what it was raised for.
