Hey, I can't claim the fame if I still want to dodge the blame, right? This was one of the most accurate rain and temperature predictions that I've seen on Weather Underground. All I did was parrot them!
My rain gauge reported 0.16" since midnight; almost exactly what they predicted. Before last year I would have called this a rainfall record for March here in La Manz, but not after last March's 9.6" over the 3 days of Mar 15-17.
The afternoon high temp reached only 78.8°F, almost 10° down from the highs that we've been seeing lately. And with the strong breezes there is a certain "brrrr" in the air.
We really got a cooler and drier air mass delivered to us. The afternoon minimum relative humidity got down to 34%! I didn't have time to look through all 10 years of records, but this is definitely the lowest RH since 2011. There were a couple 37% readings in 2013 and 2014, both in March.
That should be about it for this system; probably no more rain, and daytime temps returning to normal over the next few days. Might be chilly tonight, though!
