me to get a photo. At the same time in the background I can hear
the vegetable guy in his truck using a speaker to hawk his wares and the
sound of the machine cranking out tortillas across the street and the sound
of the ocean. Life here is so unique and so thick . Such a contrast to
life as I knew it in the US where I lived basically in isolation in the mountains
of Malibu or in the suburbs of Los Angles. I never understood why people crowded
into the cities, now living in town I have an inkling to one of the reasons.
I watched this documentary titled Kevin McCloud Slumming It, the last 10 minutes
(the whole thing is good) is him talking about the time he spent there in contrast
to the life the city planners have in mind and to the modern life he lived in England,
i.e. happiness is often found where you least expect.328
