I would add, carry cloth napkins to restaurants.
Also, I suggest reusing garbage bags. The garbage guys often empty garbage bags, because more garbage fits in the truck when it is not bagged. We have a garbage can with a lid that we place at the curb with unbagged garbage. I wash the kitchen and bathroom can bags once a month, and the bags last about 18 months. Perhaps the same would be true for compostible bags, but I do not know because I have not used them.281
