Sorry, Mazinka, but I researched local spay and neuter options before I chose the route to go as I wanted no complications. Pino offered us the fundraiser space and safety was foremost as his dog had died in Barra. I chose to go with Beto even though it meant only 4 dogs at a time. Everyday a nurse would go with me and check on the previous day's dogs. The results were perfect. Phase 2 chose different and there were different results. We all learned something. Yes, it is easier to go it alone when you have a vision as you an artist know full well. Or with folks you've known for a long time! I actually really like people as well as dogs! This year I am going to be involved in other aspects of animal health (worming, tick & flea meds, vaccinations, etc) and will take dogs to Beto for emergencies. I sincerely hope that Cisco's returns and if not, I will do it again with the help of those who assisted last year. I had lots of help from the Mexican dog owners and that is what I hope to funnel energy towards. Valentin and the dog shelter also. And rehoming locally and to Canada.
