hello dave
how are you - is it warm enough for you in LaManz ?
of course we and a lot more people are concerned or worried about dengue, sika etc and mosquito control etc
just as a point of interest, there ARE some experts that tell us that the sika virus in the americas looks like it was modified by man, the strain virulent at the moment does not seem to be something that occurs in nature. natural, but that of course is just on the side. it is out there and causes problems. so mosquito control becomes even more important now. we know that they are spraying and doing some things to reduce the number of mosquitos ut just a few days ago i came across some mention of biological control by way of dragon flies. there are some stories out there where these dragon flies put a real dent into the mosquito population.
now i mention that to you because we know that you are active and connected with some of the governmental agencies and it may be a good idea to turn them on to bringing in dragon flies and cultivate the dragon fly population and create an environment that would be conducive so these things can flourish. part of that would be to make sure that what they are spraying is not detrimental for the dragon flies. personally i way prefer biologic control over chemicals but maybe both could be used together for maximum impact .
we are ok up here in canada ( vancouver area ) and maggie is still doing some long distant legal work from here.
saludos, s & m
