After learning that it was her presence on Night of the Iguana that brought
the tabloids which really put Puerto Vallarta on the map I wonder why they
praise her so?
How would the people of La Manzanilla feel if someone that famous moved
here and changed it into a little PV?
As a Realtor I quite often get emails from realty television shows and people
looking to do large developments, I either don't answer or steer them away.
I'd rather be "poor" in paradise than see it change. In my first post I put a link to
a Wikipedia article listing 6 reasons for the rapid growth in PV. First reason is
".....A significant transition of communal lands into private ownership within
present Puerto Vallarta city limits took place in 1973 with the establishment of the
Vallarta Land Trust (Fideicomiso)...." The slower we transition to fideicomiso
the slower the growth. Viva la Ejido!146
