Bachata is from the Dominican Republic, but is widely danced in Latin America. It has become quite popular at salsa venues in North America over the last several years. When compared to salsa, the tempo of bachata is usually a little slower, and the music and style often lends itself to a more intimate and romantic experience. Again, this will be a beginner's class covering the basic steps, its variations, and simple turns. No partner required.
