I just did a bit more work looking for information. Most news reports are all the same. I haven't found a message board but may have found the reason why I haven't "Ninety per cent of homes and hotels along the beach don’t even have mains electricity: everything is run from generators, the internet heat-wavishly slow, the radios mostly battery operated". http://www.newstatesman.com/2016/06/cocodrilo-tears-0
There are a few hash tags for Instagram but it is such a limited way to communicate its hard to find something substantial about the real facts, and there is no way to thread the conversation, mostly tears and hopes.
What I would like to find out is the way the property was processed. e.g. Ejido sold it to who, the oral agreement was with who etc.
Found this "According to Roberto Palazuelos, president of the Tulum Hotel Association, the eviction derived from a longstanding dispute initiated by Esteban Magana Schiavon who claims leaders of the ejido Pino Suárez illegally sold the land to individuals. He added that those evicted on Friday were defrauded by the ejidatarios".
All the evictions were hotels and possibly two private properties.
Sergio Caballero, Process correspondent reported that after 20 years of litigation, actuaries Civil Court of Playa del Carmen, supported by elements of the police and private guards, they executed the eviction order.
El Diario de Yucatan recalls that state authorities and Tulum Hotel Association reported that diligence is derived from a lease trial sponsored by the regiomontano Schiavon Esteban Magana, as some hoteliers allegedly did not pay the rent. However, they reject the version.
"We know very well that underneath all this is a sale that the governor made several properties from the beach and now, before he leaves, does not want to lose the money they got for this beach. Are false papers" said one hotel to El Universal.
El Diario de Yucatan explains that Tulum is an archaeological site famous for being surrounded by sea, located in Quintana Roo, one of the 13 states in which elections were held on June 5. Its inhabitants elected a new governor and for the first time, won a party other than the Institutional Revolutionary (PRI), which governs the organization since its founding in 1974.
"According to the website of Quintana Roo reporter Pedro Canché, two business groups Monterrey (Schiavon Magaña and Garza Ponce), acquired an area of 49 hectares in the 50's they called Punta Piedra in Tulum," the newspaper quoted. "The place has had, according to the reporter, numerous evictions, invasions and illegal expropriations since then, and this time launched a new attack to try to strip ejidatarios and 40 hotel settled in this tourist strip whose value of land exceeds 100 million dollars ".

They create an illegal trust with the title to perpetual of 49 hectares and later sold Eschiavon Esteban Magana and Jose Maria Garza Ponce, whereby subdivide the land into 10 and then in 13 properties. The fierce dispute over land accumulates 17 years of fighting, litigation, offal, violent invasions, evictions and imprisonments of ejidatarios in Punta Piedra, land located in the coastal strip of Tulum. Since 1993, in the days of Mario Villanueva, the date Punta Piedra has been the scene of a fierce battle it has even cost lives and although it has fallen truce several times, again the regiomontanos groups attempt by different ways appropriate what by law does not belong to them.
The background to the "war"
It was in the 50s, during the government of Miguel Aleman Valdes (1946-1952), when Antonio González Avilés seized land on the shores of the Caribbean Sea near Tulum, it later acquired by the federation and which obtained a perpetual title information to the federal government. Later, in the next six years, the government of Luis Echeverría this property expropriated in 1973 to create a new Ejidal Population Center, which he called Ejido Jose Maria Pino Suarez. Antonio Gonzalez Aviles had only to accept the expropriation decree and in return gave hectares inland towards the lagoon Pino Suarez with what became ejidatario.
The origin of the fraud
Some 23 months after the expropriation, in 1975 Antonio Aviles gave Martha Chavez director of New Centers of Ejidal Population of the Ministry of Agrarian Reform (SRA) the original deed of the property, or the title information to perpetual 49 hectares obtained from the federal government and was affected by the expropriation and the New Ejidal Population Center Tulum.
Fraudulently both inscribe the July 3, 1975 before the Public Registry of Property and Commerce of the State and subdivide profit. To this end, they created an illegal trust with the title original perpetual of 49 hectares and proceeded to sell them to Esteban Eschiavon Magana and Jose Maria Garza Ponce, fraudolenta sale is ultimately the source of all the battles that have been fought in this area. In August 1976 the aforementioned Trust and the sale of the property is invalid is canceled.
Born Punta Piedra
Here with the sale of the 49 hectares bordered by the Caribbean Sea, we proceeded to the subdivision of land in 10 properties and then in 13 properties with which born "Punta Piedra", with the firm intention cover or erase the expropriated land in the coastal strip. When Schiavon Magaña and Garza Ponce flew over the property for sale agreed in the purchase of the alleged property of Antonio Aviles, however when you try to take up as much given that the whole area was occupied by ejidatarios whom the federal government had them assigned land to form the new population center. The heads of these two dynasties, admitted their mistake, they had bought a fraud, that the title of this land had been expropriated and had lost their investment.
Conflict arises
When the children of these families grow, they draw scriptures file and decide to recover the land. It is in 1993 during the government of Mario Villanueva, resurgent conflict of Punta Piedra, with violent invasions, evictions and even ejidatarios prosecuted for the illegal sale of land. Low favorable conditions in 1995, the children of Schiavon Magaña and Garza Ponce, declare war on ejidatarios Pino Suarez and the demand for a prey.
With the obvious support of the government of Mario Villanueva, police and judicial under the command of then Attorney Jose de Jesus Peyrefitte Cupid, beat arrest and imprison men and women who had possession of the land. Eighteen months later, men and women of the ejido Pino Suarez were released found that there was legally plunder. In December 2002, the regiomontanos lash out again, buy the owner of the Board of Conciliation and Arbitration for an operation that also collude with Pascual de la Cruz, leader of the CTC and the Federation of Workers' Organizations Quintana Roo (Fooqroo) to give notice to strike several hotels in the coastal strip in dispute and recognize in demand as sole administrator of these Mauricio Esteban Magana Schiavon. That is the JLCA and the CTC gave legal personality and arguments Schiavon Magaña to proceed against the hotels, bars and restaurants in the area, allegedly settled on your property, such as the Restaurant Bar Hotel Paduz, Restaurant Whales, hotel Tita Tulum Cabanas Campestre, Cabins Shiva, La Dolce Vita, La Nueva Vida de Ramiro and QRR, among others. Moreover la Garza Ponce family came and took the hotel "The Eight" through an early bird released hoteliers. Hostilities resumed with these two fronts of battles, in which the regiomontanos tried hoteliers and owners of the coastal strip of Punta Piedra, signed a lease them later in a strip them of property trial. Only one of them, he made the mistake and by a born in Monterrey and in order of a judge of that district trial proceeded to evict all tourists and the hotel "The Eight" just last December 2009. image This new dispute provoked the intervention of the government of Joaquin Hendricks Diaz, bringing things back to the quiet, once reviewed and confirmed that the Public Registry of Property of Quintana Roo families Schiavon Magaña and Garza Ponce, had any registered land or property. Against the background of what happened in the hotel "The Eight" again kingly now seek in 2010, restart the war and strip another 12 hoteliers who claim also signed them a lease, which deny owners coastal strip in dispute. Faced with this new attack, businessman and president of the Guardians of Tulum organization, Roberto Palazuelos said to be alert to any attempt of the regiomontanos groups, as there is strong evidence that they have no property in the area, the land is Ejido and want to appropriate land on which there is already settled about 40 hotels, 70 percent of them on the grounds that fight against false scriptures.
