Hello all, greetings. Just wanted to post my latest swim: two long, wonderful hours in the Amazon. Soooo beautiful, so amazingly beautiful. I looked at the other side and it seemed so close, like I could touch it. And, I considered heading towards it to see if I might just get there, but there sat a huge ship not too far away and I was concerned it just might get the idea to rev up its motor and start out, leaving me having to dive dive dive, a prospect that didn't thrill me in the black waters... So, I contented myself with just swimming parallel to the coast about a hundred meters out from shore... or more. Who knows and who's counting when you are immersed with pink dolphin, more fish than all other fresh water in the world combined, and part of its throbbing life? Instead I waved to the indigenous as they passed me in their canoes. I returned to shore swimming through the flooded forest of the Amazon. Have been here a month now and the wonders abound..
