Just to clarify a few questions I have been asked about this event:
It is completely hosted by the Gym. They handle all of the set up, the organization, the trees, the helpers that evening, the collection and the clean up. Magnolia's is strictly the venue. We serve the food that is included in the door ticket and offer the cash bars, as well as staff the bars and kitchen. The gym brings in their own volunteers for the rest of the event needs.
We appreciate all of the work everybody does every year to make this a successful event for everyone. When I moved to Magnolia's, I said I would only participate in the Tree Fiesta if someone else hosted it and we were just the venue because of how much time and effort it takes. I applaud the gym for taking this over and for doing such a great job every year. And for providing such a great exercise outlet for La Manz! In the future, if someone else would like to use Magnolia's as a venue for an event, we can discuss that. But unlike the years at CdF, it is not up for discussion as to where the money goes annually because we have given up all of that responsibility - the only decisions we make are what delicious food items to serve!!!
I hope this answers some questions that have arisen and that this will again be a great event - don't forget if you plan to make a tree, be sure to email June!!!
