A 4 session, beginning bachata class will be starting tonight at 5 pm at David & Debbie's house. (It's the first house, orange and yellow in color, north of the crocodiles, on the beach. Take the stairs to the top level.)
Bachata is from the Dominican Republic, and is widely danced in Latin America. It has become quite popular at salsa venues in North America over the last several years. When compared to salsa, the tempo of bachata is usually a little slower, and the music and style often lends itself to a more intimate and romantic experience. Again, this will be a beginner's class covering the basic steps, its variations, and simple turns. No partner required.
