Solomon started his exploration of Argentine tango as a follower, learning that role thoroughly before moving on to leading. He brings this unique perspective to the other men. His goal when dancing is to delight his partner.
Maxemilia "Max" Kepler has been dancing Argentine tango for twenty years, and she has been teaching in the United States and abroad for over a decade. Taking an experiential approach, Solomon and Max offer deep insights into the art and magic of partnership, connection, and playfulness in their teaching together.
We welcome every level of dancer, even beginners who have never before danced tango. If you want a thorough grounding in tango, or to deepen and improve what you already know, this is the seminar for you!
This is a 6-day seminar. There will be 23 class hours plus at least two dances; more dances are possible if you have the desire and energy. All classes are at the Activos! Gym, in their very nice upstairs room with big mirrors and ceiling fans. The cost is $250 USD per person, unless you reside here full time, then it's $125 USD per person.
The seminar opens this Thursday 26 January with a dance (milonga) at Martin's at 8pm. The general schedule is then 11am-1pm and 7pm-9pm starting Friday, with a break Sunday morning and a longer class that evening. Regular schedule resumes Monday and Tuesday, then we have a longer morning class Wednesday to recap what we've learned and a dance (milonga) that evening.
If you have questions, please ask!
