I have bought a painting for my granddaughter's birthday and am wondering whether there's someone who could get it back to BC for me -- ideally to Victoria or Vancouver Island, even to Prince George or thereabouts. It is an oil painting (so very light) and measures 16" x 20" (40cm x 51cm). Please email me at the little white envelope by my name if you can help out . . . or even if you have some bright ideas. Thanks.

I took a painting of the same size in my carry on bag and packed soft things around and behind it.

I just took an oil painting (this same size) back to AK by taking it off the stretcher frame, rolling it and placing inside a length of PVC pipe. I packed it in my checked bag. This was suggested by Kathy Boss. It worked like a charm. I can buy the stretcher bars in AK for $15 and my dear hubby can reattach it for me. This was so much easier than trying to hand carry it or take a chance in the luggage.
