the two yellow Kayaks to the office for storage and for the kids to use free.
The kids first lost both the paddles and were constantly losing the water
plugs and breaking the handles. There have been many repairs by Keith and Brian
to keep them functioning, unknowingly the kids owe them a thank you due to
their generosity and help.
I have watched a lot of fun, listened to a lot of laughter and seen many a
smiling face over the years and for the most part (sometimes they didn't bring
them back and I had to go get them) it has been a pleasure.
A couple days ago both Kayaks were borrowed and neither made it back to
the office. I found one on the beach in front of Bahia Azul Wednesday night
and dragged it back to the office. Yesterday I looked high and low for the other
one (all the way to Boca) without success. This is the first time ever that I
couldn't find a Kayak and it appears to be permanently gone.
I have locked the remaining Kayak up with a chain and will no longer be letting
the kids use it until the other one is returned (I don't expect that to happen).
So the day's of children having an experience that would have otherwise never
been available to them are over, an era has ended. 314
