At the moment, there are no signs and weeds need to be removed from the lot, which is across the street from the school's back entrance. The street is east of and parallel to Maria Asuncion. The lot is just south of the 2nd house from the corner. A bag for plastic bottles hangs on the north wall of the lot, about 1/3 of the way into the lot. Preferably, flatten bottles so more fit in the bag, and don't include any bags. Bottles accepted are #1 or #2 plastic (with or without lids) that contained water, soft drinks, juice, milk, or cleaning products (e.g., chlorine, pinol, suavitel). The school hopes La Manzanilla Hermosa can recruit a volunteer to be the recycling station's implementation coordinator. If anyone is interested in doing that, or assisting someone else with the implementation, please let me or Lisa Preschel know. Vicki Mercer Lead, Recycling Subcommittee La Manzanilla Hermosa La Manzanilla Hermosa is the name of the volunteer green group that Lisa posted about on the message board in October.
